Este artigo tem como objetivo ressaltar as soluções formais escolhidas por Mary Wollstonecraft em suas Cartas Escritas Durante uma Breve Residência na Suécia, na Noruega e na Dinamarca (1796) afim de escapar às exigências de rigor associadas ao ensaio e ao panfleto, assim como às limitações que o romance parecia impor aos autores chamados “jacobinos” na Inglaterra do final do século XVIII.
